A Academia de Artes e Ciências Cinematográficas de Hollywood revelou, na manhã desta quinta-feira, 22/01, os indicados à 98ª edição do Oscar, a maior premiação do cinema mundial. Nesta edição, o Brasil busca sua segunda estatueta com o filme “O Agente Secreto”, longa-metragem de Kleber Mendonça Filho, que aparece como indicado em quatro categorias: Melhor Filme, Melhor Ator, Melhor Filme Internacional e Melhor Direção de Elenco. O brasileiro Adolpho Veloso também faz história e é indicado em “Melhor Fotografia” por “Sonhos de Trem”.

“O Agente Secreto”, novo filme de Kleber Mendonça Filho, é um longa político ambientado no Brasil dos anos 1970, em plena ditadura militar. A trama acompanha um professor universitário que leva uma vida dupla como informante, mergulhando em um jogo perigoso de vigilância, paranoia e resistência. Fiel ao estilo do diretor, o longa mistura tensão, crítica social e um olhar minucioso sobre o poder e seus mecanismos.
